Supported file formats for flipbooks

The flipbook always runs from PDF pages. You can upload a PDF directly, or upload Word, PowerPoint, or Excel and we convert it to PDF first—then you pick templates and branding as usual.

What you can upload

  • PDF (.pdf) — primary format. Pages become your flipbook as exported.
  • Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) and OpenDocument Text (.odt) — converted to PDF, then flipbook.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) — converted to PDF, then flipbook.
  • Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx) — converted to PDF, then flipbook.

Conversion to PDF happens on our side when your plan allows Office uploads. The flipbook viewer itself always displays PDF pages.

Plans and PDF-only uploads

Base, Basic, and Lite plans accept PDF files only in the upload dialog. Export Word, PowerPoint, or Excel to PDF from your application first, then upload the PDF—or use a plan that includes direct Office uploads. Details are on our pricing page.

Examples by type

These galleries show flipbooks from different kinds of source files—useful for ideas and for sharing a link that matches what you publish:

If you are thinking about extra pages for search engines: one clear formats page (this one) plus real example galleries is usually enough. Add separate “Word to flipbook” or “PPT to flipbook” landing pages only when you can publish different guidance on each—not the same text with a new keyword.
